GENERAL MANAGER

Inter-Rail is seeking a motivated General Manager that displays strong leadership qualities with an eye for safety to join our team in Princeton, IN. The General Manager is responsible for overseeing all facility operations, including the loading and unloading of vehicles from railcars, the shuttling and inspecting of vehicles, as well as locomotive switching.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent management experience of 5 years in yard operations management of an automotive/rail industry terminal
  • Professional attitude and presentation
  • Must possess ability to train and motivate associates
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license
  • Must be trained on company quality system and departmental objectives
  • Must have excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Must be computer literate
  • Must have railroad or railroad yard knowledge (operations, yard inventory systems, etc.)

Responsibilities:

  • Cover in the absence of departmental Operations Managers (leave of absences, terminations, vacations)
  • Learn all inventory systems and reporting
  • Train new Managers and associates
  • Participate in company and customer conference calls
  • Perform audits, including ISO, safety, AAR, customer, etc.
  • Maintain constant contact with Upper Management team and Customers

HUMAN RESOURCES COORDINATOR

Inter-Rail is seeking a motivated Human Resources Coordinator to join our team in Princeton, IN. The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for the supervision and coordination of all administrative personnel and processes.

Requirements:

  • College degree preferred but not required, as 5-years industry experience in multi-faceted fast paced environment is acceptable
  • Professional attitude and presentation required
  • Must hold a valid drivers license
  • Must have excellent organizational and communication skills, as well a strong attention to detail
  • Must be computer literate with data entry capability
  • Bi-lingual Spanish helpful, but not mandatory

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the Quality System Policies and Objectives
  • Act as a liaison between suppliers, contractors, customers, Management, Home Office, etc.
  • Assist in tracking and reporting facility activity as required, including production, payroll, billing, etc.
  • Oversee company procedures and requirements for onboarding new hires, training, drug testing, benefit administration, and termination
  • Primary HR contact. Ensure labor law compliance, respond to and investigate associate labor concerns, and attend hearings as needed to resolve labor issues
  • Any other reports or special projects required by the company and/or customer

SHUTTLE MANAGER

Inter-Rail is seeking motivated Shuttle Managers to join our team in Princeton, IN. The Shuttle Manager is responsible for the coordination, planning and execution of all facility yard operations. There will be one day-shift Shuttle Manager and one night-shift Shuttle Manager.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent management experience of 5 years in yard operations management of an automotive/rail industry terminal
  • Professional attitude and presentation
  • Must possess ability to train and motivate associates
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license
  • Must be trained on company quality system and departmental objectives

  • Report operations situations to GM and Management on daily basis
  • Ensure proper training of all individuals
  • Track and report facility activity as required by customer and HQ
