Vehicle Unloaders assist with safely installing bridge plates between railcars, removing the securements off vehicles, and driving the vehicles off the trains.

 The following job requirements are required for the Vehicle Unloader position:

  • Physically be able to repeatedly climb, squat, bend, walk, etc. throughout the shift.
  • Physically be able to repeatedly lift 50-60 pounds throughout the shift.
  • Be able to work in closed and confined spaces.
  • Work in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.).
  • Available to work weekends, and holidays if scheduled.
  • Available to work a flexible schedule (shift start-time and end-time may vary day to day, dependent on work volume for the day).
  • Available to work overtime, when needed.





The fundamentals of this position consist of directing the movement of railcars within the facility from one track to another in conjunction with an engineer and locomotive, as instructed, to assist with the loading/unloading of and the arrival and departure of trains.

Travel is not necessary; Train Conductors are only required to work out of the Mira Loma, CA facility. Prior Train Conductor experience is not necessary; applicants will go through about 2-3 months of classroom and on-the-job training.

The following job requirements are required for the Train Conductor position:

  • Must be able to repeatedly climb, squat, bend, etc. throughout the shift.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Must be on your feet and walk throughout the shift on uneven terrains, such as the railroads.
  • Must work in any weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.)
  • Must ensure the well-being and safety of all employees.
  • Must be able to communicate (read, speak and write) in English to meet FRA requirements.
  • Must conform to AAR/FRA guidelines at a minimum, as applicable.
  • Participation in daily safety and job briefings.
  • Be on time for work.
  • Perform radio tests before any work begins.
  • Inspect all equipment at the start of the shift.
  • Use proper radio communication while working.
  • Control the movement of trains and engines.
  • Throw and inspect switches.
  • Know if a track is lined in or out; or if a switch is lined against the movement.
  • Hook up air hoses and open/close angle cocks.
  • MU-ing engines correctly.
  • Uncouple railcars and engines.
  • Identify that flags and derails are up or down on all tracks.
  • Ride railcars and engines.
  • Get on/off railcars and engines.
  • Protect shoves.
  • Read and complete switch lists properly.
  • Talk to train crews on the radio with proper radio communication.
  • Put oil and water in engines, replace brakes shoes, etc.
  • Properly secure engines when work is complete
  • Maintain a clean facility.
  • Complete daily/weekly/monthly To Do’s.





Permanent, full-time with possibility of overtime, must be open to work weekends, and holidays if scheduled.
